O! Most Excellent Exclamation!

O! Most Excellent Exclamation!

Mark of
Exultant
Exhilaration!

Exotic
Excitement!
Exuberant
Ecstasy!

Expressing
Exalting
Extraordinary
Extremity!

You Exceed!
You Excel!

You Extol!
You Exhort!

Your Exceptional Exaggeration

exhausts me.

My Sweet Semi-colon

Names are deceiving, my sweet semi-colon
When you are much more than some daft “demi-colon”

Indeed, your discernment brings delicate pleasure
To those who decry tags of halting half-measure

For you are no one-size-fits-all broad solution;
You are subtle, specific, a filigrained fusion
Of full stop and comma, coarse markers of pauses,
When you soar between two well-crafted clauses.

A link and a breath
All rolled into one

Punctuated perfection
Semi-to-none

MORE OF MY POETRY

Kintsugi: Golden Joinery

A blind man’s fingers
Would trace a path
Across the knotted folds
Of knobbled flesh;

Linger over loss lines

Feel the weeping writ there

The Arms of the World

There is a place I go
High on a cliff

This Particular Day

The yellow-fingered dawn
takes me hand
as if to say

Wistful

What a word
‘wistful’ is –

Definitely not getting up to run at dawn

I lie in bed,
reach for the screen

It was a misty, moisty morning

It was a misty, moisty morning

When all the world was new
